A PROFOUND BRIDGE BETWEEN GENERATIONS
The Great Reflection is a project designed to capture the spirt of a generation and help our elders surface and tell their stories. It is rooted in the belief that we have found a better way to capture the vibrancy, wisdom, lessons, and profound insights that only a lifetime of experience can provide.
From the beginning, we sought to answer a set of simple questions:
What if we could capture the stories of our loved ones in a powerful and modern way—such as a podcast series?
What if they were interviewed with the skill of a host of “Fresh Air” or "This American Life”, who can hold the space for real dialogue?
What if we can ensure that the following generations can easily access the voices of their elders at any time, for all time?
Our carefully edited podcast episodes ensure that our elders feel truly heard and valued, and gifts them the opportunity to look back and look forward in a safe space. This is about preserving wisdom, honoring lives, and creating legacies through intimate conversation with the necessary distance only a third party can provide.
Here's how it works:
+ Families prepare for the in-person interview, identifying territories and questions they hope to explore.
+ Interviewees do some light pre-work (including a prep interview) to ensure fit and the right frame of mind.
+ Our interviewer will then arrive to conduct an in-person six to eight hour interview (over one to two days).
+ Episodes are then beautifully edited and shared on a website dedicated to the interview.
The Great Reflection is designed to be an enduring gift of love. We’d be honored to open a conversation on how you can give it your family.
Rediscover your loved ones and let them rediscover themselves once again.
